The Muskoka chase race is held in the town of Huntsville, located 2hrs north of Toronto and 20 km from the beautiful Algonquin Park. Many professional triathletes participate to the chase race. This year, the Muskoka offers: 40 Ironman Canada, 20 Ironman Lake Placid and 20 Ironman Florida qualifying spots. With a fresh water lake swim, a challenging bike course and a rolling road run, the race is a great play field for the intermediate to expert triathletes. For the novices and beginners, the sprint triathlon is an ideal distance.

Guelph Lake is one of the most popular events of the Subaru Triathlon series. In a beautiful conservation area, you will swim in a calm and warm man-made lake, bike the challenging hilly course and finish the run in the park. This year, Guelph Lake is 2007 ITU World’s qualifier in Germany as well as Ontario provincial Duathlon championships. With also a sprint distance race and a kid’s fun run, Guelph Lake is the perfect destination for the families and serious athletes.
Suggested Stay: Algonquin Park is with no doubt my favorite place in Ontario!!! For all outdoor activity lovers: Canoes, wild camping, wild lakes, trails, mountain biking, so on and so forth…. However, the best of your stay is actually the luxury resort we have selected for you. Just 5 minutes from downtown Huntsville and 10 minutes from the race site, the resort has a golf course, a private beach, outdoor and indoor pools, indoor tennis court and endless activities for your children. Accommodations on site include guest room and 1 to 3 bedroom suites with full kitchen equipped for an ultimate comfort!

You will be based at Toronto for the remaining days of your trip. Visit of the city and its islands and an escape to Niagara Falls will ideally complete your trip.
